Integrative Psychotherapy embraces a holistic perspective toward the challenges of ‘being human’ by integrating different therapeutic models.
A diverse range of theoretical approaches acknowledge the individuality of a person, understanding that therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’ practice. There is a beautiful flexibility in the collaborative, client -centred work which recognises that mental health is part of a broad landscape of life experiences and circumstances. Beyond addressing presenting symptoms, integrative psychotherapy explores root causes across one’s lifespan.
Part of integrative psychotherapy is the importance of the relationship between therapist and client which forms an essential part in healing and growth.

Psychology vs Psychotherapy
In brief, Psychology training is more medically oriented with a focus on cognitive-behavioural theories and practices. Psychotherapy and Counselling offer a more holistic approach with emphasis on personality, nervous system, attachment and development, integrating and recognising contemporary research across a broad reach of therapeutic styles and models.

As a therapist I am alive with curiosity and appreciation for the intricate complexity in navigating ourselves and the world. I invite clients to explore their internal landscape to arrive at a deepening awareness, a richer narrative and always, an investment in hope. I believe in our capacity for change and potential to thrive. I practice from a creative, holistic, humanistic and trauma-informed framework welcoming individuals aged 14+ inclusive of diversity.
My approach is warm and attuned. I believe people are the experts of their own experience and offer support to navigate challenges with intention and compassion.

“Ange has a way of being gentle and empowering. She helped me gain clarity of where my life was at and guided me on a journey to create a new path that took me to where I am today. Her talent in somatic breath work and embodiment experience was powerful and effective. Ange created a warm and safe environment for me to be myself and explore who that might be”

“One of my challenges in therapy (and life) has been learning to take up space. In therapy with Ange, she reminds me that the session is time for me to use how I choose. She invites me to take up space in creative and embodied ways. Through the way Ange holds me in these moments, I am learning that it is safe for me to spread out in this way. It is safe to be present with my inner world and my own needs in the presence of another person. I feel Ange's warmth, care and unconditional positive regard, and it reminds me that I am not wrong or defective at my core. I feel seen and known by Ange. We have found our own poetic and symbolic language to help understand and explore my inner landscape. In these ways, therapy with Ange never feels rote, rather it is alive with possibility, imagination and connection. If you want to feel seen, known and cared for as you explore your own challenges, I cannot recommend Ange more.”
